Mahindra is again creating buzz, this time for its latest electric SUV, the XEV 9e. It has received a phenomenal response in the Indian Market, where it sold over 30,000 unit bookings in the very first day of launch. The much-awaited pricing of this car was also revealed on the same day, where they gave inclinations that the range will vary from 21.9 lakh rupees to 30.5 lakh rupees (ex-showroom price, India). 

i) Variants & Color Choices

Now with this launch the Mahindra XEV 9e Garners is available in four trims, namely Pack One, Pack Two, Pack Three, and the newly introduced Pack Three Select, which precisely slots between Pack Two and Pack Three. The color range has also increased, now buyers can choose from 8 different color options available, which include attractive colors like Deep Forest, Nebula Blue and Desert Myst Satin. 

ii) Tech & Features

Mahindra is investing heavily in the tech domain and the same can easily be seen with the advanced features it is introducing in its cars. The SUV comes with a high-tech cabin with three 12.3-inch displays, a 1400W 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, multi-zone automatic climate control, and an AR-based heads-up display. Apart from this, other premium features include ventilated & powered front seats and the capacity to charge wirelessly.

iii) Performance & Range

Mahindra has launched two options to choose from when it comes to performance and range. The 559 kWh battery – 231 PS, 380 Nm (RWD), and the 79 kWh battery – 286 PS, 380 Nm (RWD). It also has a MIDC claimed range of 656 km and strong support of fast charging (they are claiming 20-80% in 20 minutes). 

iv) Safety & Competition

Coming to the most integral point, safety in a vehicle. The SUV comes with 7 airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), and Level 2 ADAS. Apart from all this, the XEV 9e has also earned a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating. Mahindra has placed itself decently in the market to rival with TATA Harrier EV and Tata Safari EV.
